CHANGELOG

What shipped this week.

Tadabase AI moves fast. Subscribe to the weekly roundup if you'd rather get it in your inbox.

  1. Seven ways to start, and AI tools that sign in

    • NEW Sign-up ends with a choice of how to begin: start building, have it built for you, start from a template, bring your own AI, move from another tool, join your team, or build it yourself. Each lands on its own start page where every step is done in place, with a small dock that follows you until the steps are finished.
    • NEW “Build it for me”: an interview asks one question at a time until a build brief is complete. Answer with a spreadsheet by uploading a CSV. Approve the brief and have it built now, or hand it to a person. Start over any time.
    • NEW Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code with a browser sign-in instead of a pasted token: pick the tool on the AI Tools Access page, follow its own steps, choose which apps it may reach, and click Allow. Access tokens remain as the fallback.
    • NEW Support widget: choose what a signed-out visitor sees — collect a name and email, show a sign-in button, or hide the widget.
    • IMPROVED The verification screen offers one-click Open Gmail / Outlook / Yahoo / iCloud / Proton buttons filtered to our sender, shows the 6-digit code as the alternative to the link, and puts a cooldown on Resend.
    • IMPROVED The plan picker is no longer the first screen after sign-up; you continue on your current plan and meet it only when you ask. “What are you trying to build?” now accepts more than one answer, and reopening the setup questions keeps what you picked.
    • IMPROVED Build modes are now Standard (optimized for speed) and Extended (a full A-to-Z build including a polished UI).
    • IMPROVED Each interface card on the app dashboard offers Publish, Open, Open preview, Assign a custom domain, Recapture screenshot, a GitHub-connected indicator and the last three deploys. A custom domain can be attached in the same step as publishing.
    • IMPROVED Compliance Center readiness is shown at three levels side by side — Account, Database (per app) and Environments (per interface) — each with its own percentage and next step. Every number now comes from stored facts, with unknowns shown as not checked yet.
    • IMPROVED The migrate start page expands each source’s questions inline, and file uploads get a 25 MB guard with a clear message.
    • FIXED A deploy the build agent lost is now reported as failed with a message to deploy again, instead of sitting on “building” forever. A published app’s address now serves after a deploy to a non-Tadabase AI host, and a stale completion from an older build can no longer roll the current release backwards.
  2. Share the love, HIPAA per app, a new profile menu

    • NEW Share the love: invite people by email in your own words from a popup that opens over whatever you are reading, watch each invite move through sent, clicked, signed up and building, and earn credits through the referral program once they build their first app.
    • NEW Invite links now work for people who already have an account: click one, sign in by any method, and the welcome, guided tour and credits attach on the spot.
    • NEW HIPAA switch per app in the Compliance Center and in App Settings, which now opens straight on the HIPAA tab. HIPAA-enabled apps get a PHI access log page, and PHI masking follows your row-level security rules.
    • NEW Delete your account from the profile page, with an email confirmation before anything is removed.
    • NEW Add View was rebuilt as one smooth create/edit flow with the same live preview and options panel for both, and views can be deleted with a confirmation.
    • IMPROVED The profile menu and left rail were redesigned with a Switch Workspace flyout and a credits meter. The menu now opens on a tap, so it works on phones, and app-card action menus show on touch screens too.
    • IMPROVED The sign-up wizard opens with your plan and credits before the questions, accepts a referral code, and the welcome screen has a promo or referral box. The referral code has its own copy button.
    • IMPROVED Temp Mail Mode can be switched on from the Temp Mail page itself, with clearer empty states.
    • IMPROVED API usage dashboards were redesigned with new charts. Usage by App keeps deleted apps that spent credits in the period, marked with a Deleted badge.
    • IMPROVED Data table tabs that do not fit the screen move into an overflow menu, and the records toolbar wraps to two rows instead of shrinking every button to a bare icon.
    • IMPROVED The home demo video is now the Tadabase AI intro. Support contact is support@tadabase.io everywhere.
    • FIXED Opening an app no longer flashes the wrong screen, and the preview no longer reloads while its container is still compiling, which showed as the sign-in page blinking on first open.
    • FIXED The credits meter on Plan & Subscriptions now measures against all credits granted and purchased, and fractional credits no longer disappear from Transaction History.
    • FIXED The Temp Mail Box no longer errors on apps that never had an inbox, and contact-form enquiries now reach us.
  3. See inside every template

    • NEW Template pages show what is inside: data tables with field breakdowns and an interactive relationship diagram, user roles, workflows drawn as step-by-step rails, email templates with a live preview, import and export templates and AI agents, with real counts on every gallery card.
    • NEW Templates are in the main navigation with a search box, category links and a related-templates strip on every detail page. Template pages have readable addresses and proper previews when shared.
    • NEW A dedicated HIPAA tab in App Settings, and an Access option in the profile menu.
    • NEW Workspaces can edit a built-in role for themselves, with a reset to defaults and a copy action on every role. The role picker in the share dialog says what the chosen role grants.
    • NEW People joining through a workspace invite get a welcome that shows who invited them, the workspace, their role and the apps available to them.
    • IMPROVED Apps that already have an Interface open straight into the editor from the app grid, workspace list, sidebar switcher and recent row.
    • IMPROVED The user menu was rebuilt: name, email and plan at the top, this month’s credit meter beneath, then grouped destinations.
    • IMPROVED The getting-started screen was redesigned with a progress meter, level cards and numbered steps. The demo plays in a popup, and the plan comparison has its own address you can bookmark.
    • IMPROVED The build view drops the redundant Planning chip and shows the build summary inline instead of as a popup.
    • FIXED Members invited to a personal workspace can see its apps, and workspaces are no longer listed twice.
    • FIXED “See your live preview” now completes in the Getting Started checklist, and its Open Preview, Open Your App and Publish actions take you to your app instead of Home.
    • FIXED A verification link opened a second time says the email is already verified instead of “invalid code”, and the screen no longer keeps asking for a code after the link worked.
    • FIXED Icons rendered as empty boxes in an app’s dev preview. Import and Export template pages with many fields no longer freeze the browser. Profile photos save immediately after selection.
  4. Home is a dashboard, domains need one record

    • NEW Home is a real dashboard again: a greeting, the getting-started guide, headline numbers including your credit balance, a jump-back-in row of recent apps, the searchable app grid and a recent-activity feed. Making something new lives on the build page.
    • NEW AI Tools Access was redesigned as a three-step setup: choose a tool, name it and pick which apps it can reach, connect. It hands you a ready-to-paste setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor or VS Code, and AI tool logins are approved right here.
    • NEW Custom domains need one DNS record instead of three, and there is one address to point at for every app. The domain row shows what it is waiting on, any error and when we last checked, with copy buttons. Root domains verify, and lookups use public DNS so a record created a minute ago is seen straight away.
    • NEW Running apps: a screen in the account menu showing everything of yours running on our servers, what each uses and its address, with Stop and Start controls.
    • NEW Add View wizard for Cards, Chart and Pivot components with a live preview over your real records and a desktop, tablet and mobile switch.
    • NEW GitHub Connections redesigned: connection health, linked and unlinked apps, branches, separate Pull and Push actions, and a disconnect button per app. Managed apps can use git sync.
    • NEW Docs: an “Understanding infrastructure” section with diagrams of how your data reaches the person looking at it, a Guides section starting with row-level security, and a guide to connecting an AI coding tool.
    • NEW All Apps redesigned with a master-detail workspace layout.
    • IMPROVED Signing in lands you on the page you asked for. The Publish button in the app-created email opens the publish dialog on arrival.
    • IMPROVED A warning appears in the last days of a trial, and finishing the getting-started list pays a one-time credit bonus.
    • IMPROVED The build timeline groups file reads under the step that asked for them and survives a refresh. Undo appears on later changes, where there is a working version to go back to, rather than on the build that created the app.
    • IMPROVED Template gallery: the filters filter again, the top-rated tab is back, Use this template starts an install, and your choice survives signing up.
    • IMPROVED A new app’s first preview appears in about five seconds instead of seventeen, and previews keep their warm state after a day away.
    • FIXED Signing up with Google kept the plan picked on the pricing page, and no longer strands people on the sign-in step of the new-app flow. Signing up again when the code never arrived now continues to the code screen.
    • FIXED The record editor no longer opens with every field showing “(empty)” after a search, and the keyboard works again after closing it with Escape.
    • FIXED The referral card showed zero clicks, a returning visitor’s referral was dropped, and the inviter’s reward never paid out. All three fixed.
    • FIXED Calendar events open a detail popup showing the chosen display fields. A preview showed a white page for apps using less common packages.
  5. Share your app, choose who pays

    • NEW A share moment when your app first goes live: confetti, a referral invite row worth credits to both sides, and share links. A Share button sits next to every live app address, and published apps get a proper link preview card with title, description and screenshot.
    • NEW Shared builders can pay for AI on apps they don’t own with their own credits. The chat composer shows whose credits a run will use, and the owner can lock who pays on each share.
    • NEW “About Me” on your profile: whatever you write is given to the AI in every chat and build as background — who you are, what you are building, and how you like to work.
    • NEW Access checker: pick any app shared with you and see what you can and cannot do, why, and whose credits a run draws from. Tick what you are missing and send the request to the owner, who approves it from an email.
    • NEW AI tools view on the usage page: which tool ran, which app it touched and which token it used, with every change an AI tool made listed.
    • NEW A “Shared with you” section on Home, an All Apps page listing every workspace with your role and its apps, and workspace tabs you can bookmark.
    • NEW A one-time onboarding wizard for existing customers trying the AI platform: a welcome video, an inventory of the apps you own and that are shared with you, who can access them, and a plain-language credits explainer.
    • NEW Set a user’s password from the record editor, with a confirm box. A public community gallery anyone can browse, and a healthcare landing page.
    • IMPROVED Opening a preview address after it has stopped shows a page explaining what a preview address is and that publishing gives an app a permanent one.
    • IMPROVED The apps dashboard moved to /home; /apps still redirects. Referral links show how many times they were opened, and promo codes can carry a per-person redemption allowance.
    • IMPROVED The support widget’s Chat tab is now Tickets, and the getting-started checklist counts an app you already own and an app you have shared.
    • FIXED Sign-in failed with “too many requests” for people behind a shared connection. Promo redemption paid nothing to everyone after the first redeemer.
    • FIXED Annual pricing displayed wrongly on legacy plans, per-app access looked unsaved in a personal workspace, and the expand-record button rendered as an empty square.
    • FIXED A table could freeze the whole browser tab after opening a record and scrolling, and a brand-new app could crash on its own dashboard.
  6. Refer & Earn, and a smoother first day

    • NEW Refer & Earn: share your invite link from the Credits screen and earn credits when someone you invite completes their first build. Promo codes can be redeemed there too.
    • NEW A getting-started checklist tracks your first milestones, and a help menu now lives in the sidebar.
    • IMPROVED Clicking the verification email verifies your account in one step and takes you straight into building.
    • IMPROVED The ready-made ideas on the start screen are personalized to the industry and goals you picked at signup.
    • IMPROVED Upgrading is self-serve: the upgrade button, pricing page, and billing portal all go straight to checkout.
  7. Faster previews and GitHub health

    • NEW GitHub connections screen in your account: test each connection, reconnect stale installations, and see live ahead/behind counts in every app’s git panel.
    • NEW In-app support widget: send feedback with annotated screenshots, chat with us, and browse help resources without leaving the app.
    • IMPROVED Live Preview shows real boot phases and elapsed time instead of a spinner, reuses warm previews so refreshes are fast, and Retry reconnects instead of restarting.
    • IMPROVED Kanban and Board cards can show as many fields as the component supports — including connected and system fields — with drag-to-reorder columns.
    • FIXED A large batch of edit-panel fixes: date and time condition values save and display in your app’s format, connection conditions offer connected records by name, and searching with no field selected now searches all fields.
  8. Edit every component

    • NEW Card, chart and pivot views get full edit panels with searchable selects, field pickers with connected fields, drag-to-reorder groups and per-column conditions.
    • NEW Legacy page components can now be edited from the page editor too.
    • IMPROVED The Publish dialog was rebuilt: deployment status, live URL with Copy and Open, Hibernate, Roll Back, and custom-domain setup right in the launch checklist.
    • FIXED App thumbnails capture after the app fully renders and refresh automatically after a deploy.
  9. A new account area

    • NEW Redesigned account area: profile with a completeness ring, plan & subscriptions with usage meters, credits with a spend-by-source breakdown and filterable ledger, and CSV export of usage by app.
    • NEW The pricing page now shows live plans and credit packs.
    • NEW Template marketplace redesign: ratings, reviews, categories, and full-size image previews.
    • NEW Hover actions on chat messages: copy any message, reply with a quoted excerpt, or undo a turn’s code changes.
    • IMPROVED The browser tab shows build status — building, done, or needs attention — so you can work elsewhere while the AI builds.
  10. Your new app home

    • NEW The apps dashboard was redesigned as an AI app home: prompt composer front and center, resume-your-app cards, and AI suggestions.
    • NEW Standard and Thinking build modes — pick deeper reasoning for complex builds.
    • NEW Delete an app from Settings or the app list, behind a type-to-confirm dialog. Deletion is soft, so support can restore it.
    • NEW Signup onboarding wizard and workspace invites.
    • IMPROVED Redesigned chat composer with a provider-grouped model picker and a clearer Chat/Code toggle.
  11. Point, click, edit

    • NEW Component inspector: click any part of your live preview to open its settings — fields, filters and live data — and apply edits with undo.
    • NEW Create a new field or data table, rename fields, and add choices right from the inspector, with a preview and explicit approval before anything is written.
    • NEW One-click component updates: when safe platform improvements are available, a banner updates your app with no AI and no tokens — your work is never touched.
    • NEW Template copies run in the background with live progress that survives navigation and refreshes — several at once if you like.
    • NEW Python is now supported in workflow custom code actions.
    • IMPROVED Records grid performance: the scrollbar spans your whole table and large tables scroll smoothly with no row cap.
  12. GitHub sync, Temp Mail, Usage

    • NEW GitHub sync: create or link a repo for your app and push and pull code from the studio.
    • NEW Temp Mail Box: capture the emails your app sends, with a split-view inbox, search, and real-time notifications across the studio.
    • NEW Usage dashboard: per-app and all-app activity, endpoint stats, and platform activity in one place.
    • NEW The Stop button now truly cancels a running AI pipeline instead of letting it finish in the background.
    • NEW Record History: open a point-in-time history of any record’s changes.
    • NEW Workspace tags: color-tag apps and filter the dashboard by tag.
    • FIXED The preview no longer reloads itself every few seconds.
  13. Workflow editor power-ups

    • NEW Undo/redo on the workflow canvas, Ctrl+S to save, and zoom hotkeys.
    • NEW Test consoles: run custom code with JSON test inputs and test integration requests, with response and console output side by side.
    • NEW Schedule an AI Agent as a workflow trigger.
    • NEW File, image and signature fields can be used in workflow conditions and filters, with real size and type checks.
    • IMPROVED Run history: filters by status, date and keyword, pagination, and a details view with duration and trigger info.
  14. Workspaces for teams

    • NEW Workspaces: invite members by email, assign built-in or custom roles, and limit a member to specific apps.
    • NEW Workspace switcher on the apps dashboard, settings with rename and icon, and a Trash with restore.
    • NEW Per-member credit limits with per-member usage — team AI spend is billed to the workspace owner.
    • NEW Workspace activity log with CSV export.
    • NEW Inline cell editing and a record edit panel right in the data-tables grid.
    • NEW Connections tab with Visual, List and Diagram views of how your tables relate.
  15. Compliance Center + PDF designer

    • NEW HIPAA Compliance Center for HIPAA-enabled plans: classify tables and fields, mask sensitive values, and track readiness before you publish.
    • NEW Native PDF designer: upload, design, preview and replace your PDF forms — with version history and restore.
    • NEW A brand-new landing page and refreshed marketing site.
    • NEW Legacy-app activation: bring an existing Tadabase app into Tadabase AI with a preview of the change and one-click rollback.
  16. Custom domains + a smarter build flow

    • NEW Custom domains for published apps, plus a server metrics view.
    • NEW New pricing plans.
    • NEW Real-time build progress: watch pages and files come to life as your new app is built.
    • NEW Plan mode: switch the AI between Ask, Plan and Act — review and approve a plan before it builds.
    • NEW Thumbs up/down on AI responses, with a token and credit summary under each chat turn.
    • IMPROVED Credits & Usage: one unified dashboard with a per-chat breakdown of every step, in plain English, each entry clicking through to the exact step it paid for.
  17. AI app building arrives

    • NEW Build full apps with AI: describe what you want and watch the steps execute, with live file diffs, a file editor, logs and analytics.
    • NEW @-mentions in chat: reference your tables, fields, pages, workflows and templates as clickable pills.
    • NEW Credits: a transparent credit system with balances and allocations.
    • NEW Templates: publish an app as a template and start new apps from one.
    • NEW Theme options with light and dark mode.
  18. The whole builder, readable

    • NEW Workflows view: every workflow on a visual canvas with triggers, steps and readable detail.
    • NEW Templates views for AI Prompts, Imports, Exports and Email Templates, each with full detail pages and logs.
    • NEW PDF Forms and PDF Pages views with live preview.
    • NEW Field detail pages mirroring every field type’s settings.
    • NEW App settings: general, domains, spinner and performance views.
