Insurance broker spreadsheet template. Free, and ready to become an app.
One workbook for a brokerage: clients, the policies they hold, the agents who sold them, the commissions those policies earn and the renewals coming up. Download it free. When several agents work the same book, describe the same structure to Tadabase AI and it builds the broker app, with each agent seeing only their own clients and renewals that come to them before they lapse.
Excel · Google Sheets · Numbers · 6 sheets
Rather have it as an app? Describe it — we’ll build it now.
Same structure as the spreadsheet, plus logins, roles and workflows. Free to start.
6 sheets, already linked by ID.
Each sheet is one kind of record. The ID columns are how the sheets point at each other, and they are the same links the app version turns into real relationships.

Fine for one person. Hard for a team.
Where the spreadsheet starts to cost you time once more people depend on it.
-
Renewals depend on someone sorting by date
The Renewals sheet lists the dates. Nobody is told a policy is about to lapse unless someone remembers to look.
-
Totals are typed, not counted
Total Policies, Total Policies Sold and Commission Earned are numbers someone keeps up by hand, so they drift from the rows they are meant to summarise.

Every agent sees the whole book
Share the file with one agent and they can read every client, every premium and every other agent's commission.
Same structure, with logins and automations.
Start from a real prompt, change anything that doesn’t fit, then build it.
Loads this prompt into the prompt box- Insurance broker app An insurance broker app with clients, policies, agents, commissions and renewals. Each policy belongs to a client and an agent, with coverage amount, premium, start and end dates and status. Agents log in and see only their own clients and policies; the office manager sees the whole book. The commission amount calculates from the premium and the rate, each client's policy count and each agent's totals update automatically, and the responsible agent gets an email 60 days before any policy ends.
- Quote and renewal pipeline A quote and renewal tracker for an insurance agency — every quote moves through stages from requested to quoted to bound or lost, with the carrier, product type and premium on each. Policies coming up for renewal appear on a list 90 days ahead, assigned to the agent who owns the client, and the manager sees a dashboard of open quotes and renewals due this month.
- Agent commission tracker A commission tracking app for an insurance brokerage — each policy sold records the agent, carrier, premium and commission rate; the commission amount calculates automatically; agents log in to see only their own commissions and payment status; and the owner sees totals by agent and by month.

Questions about this template.
Is the spreadsheet template really free?
Yes. It is a normal .xlsx file that opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. No sign-up is needed to download it.
Can each agent see only their own clients?
In the app, yes. The AI sets up an agent role that sees only the clients and policies assigned to that agent, and a manager role that sees the whole book. That rule is enforced on the server for every record, not by hiding columns.
Can I bring the data I already have in the spreadsheet?
Yes. Once the app is built, import each sheet into the matching table from a CSV or Excel file. The importer maps your columns to the fields and shows any row it could not bring in, and why.
When should I move from the spreadsheet to an app?
When more than one person edits it, when someone outside your team needs to see part of it, or when you start copying rows between tabs by hand. Those are the points where a spreadsheet starts losing data quietly.
Keep the structure. Lose the copy-paste.
