What it is #

When a brand-new account buys credits for the first time, those credits land in your wallet immediately but stay in a "Held" state for 24 hours. You can see them in the balance card under "Held," and the release time appears next to them.

Why we do this #

It's a payment-safety pattern. The 24-hour window catches most stolen-card disputes before AI spend has already happened. It protects both us and you — chargebacks on freshly-spent accounts get messy.

What you can do during the hold #

  • Use your monthly grant (if your plan includes one) — that's not held.
  • Use any credits you received before the purchase (support comps, promo codes).
  • Wait 24 hours — the credits then unlock automatically.

Need it released sooner? #

If you're working against a deadline and need access immediately, contact support — we can release the hold manually for known-good accounts.
